An ancient goblin artifact from the Dhakaani Empire. It is said to have power over life and death. The Chosen of the Gray Mist are currently assisting Kech Volaar goblins in recovering the artifact, doing so secretly on behalf of the King’s Citadel.
The Ashen Crown was originally fashioned by the elves of the Valaes Tairn. It was named the Crown of Remembrance, or Liryana’tani in the elvish tongue. Dhakaani goblins somehow gained possession of it, changing its nature. It became a powerful weapon that mimicked the thirst for glory sought after by the goblin warlords. At that point, it began to be called Arkantaash—goblin for ‘ashen crown.’ When the Dhakaani Empire disintegrated, the Crown was said to have been sundered into five pieces—each held by a different warlord: Ashurta, Karruuk, Lurtaan, Murkoorak and Zaarani. Ashurta wielded a blade, Karruuk a headband, and Lurtaan a mithral chain, and the others possessed potent magic gems.
